He decides to bring him to the most emblematic place of their childhood a small beach resort where, as children, they used to go fishing with their father.
As the days pass, Ángel is confronted by a storm of memories, guilt, and fear, which stand in contrast to Leonardo’s efforts to celebrate his birthday in a special way. THE MASK OF MARCOS
In 1994, the Zapatista uprising shook Mexico and captured the world’s attention, led by the enigmatic Subcomandante Marcos. Thirty years later, this documentary shifts the focus from the myth to the people he represented the Indigenous communities of Chiapas.
Through firsthand testimonies from former guerrilla fighters, community members, activists, and journalists, the film examines what truly changed after the uprising. As new generations face abandonment and the rise of organized crime, The Masks of Marcos asks whether the Zapatista movement fulfilled its promises or became a symbol that left its people still waiting for justice.
THOSE WE LEFT BEHIND

ROOTS OF FAITH
In Mexico, faith is a lived experience shaped by ancestral traditions, miracles, and a unique blend of pre-Hispanic and Catholic beliefs. Roots of Faith is a six-episode documentary series that explores the country’s most revered religious icons from the Virgin of Guadalupe to local saints and the communities that sustain their devotion.
Through intimate access to rituals, pilgrimages, and personal testimonies, the series examines faith as a powerful cultural force, while also questioning its contradictions, abuses, and survival in an increasingly modern and skeptical society.
